A Day in the Life of Hyperbound: Sales Manager

Last updated: October 20, 2026

This walkthrough follows a sales manager's Monday morning with real call scoring and deal intelligence turned on. The video uses a demo company, Dustin's Donuts. The manager:

  • reviews the pipeline

  • checks the health of an at-risk deal

  • prepares for a 1:1 with a rep

  • turns a coaching point into targeted practice

  • sets up an automation so the next Monday's review arrives by email

Below is a written summary of each step, with where to click.

1. Review the pipeline

Click Deals in the left sidebar to open the Deal Dashboard.

  • Deals that need attention show a red alert badge. Hover over it to see the Action Required list, which includes items such as Next meeting not scheduled and CRM fields need review.

  • Open a deal to see:

    • Recent events

    • Summary

    • What could slow deal progress

    • Suggested Next steps

    • Stakeholders, each with an engagement level and a sentiment

2. Check deal health with one click

You don't need to write a prompt. On the deal page, the Kota card offers suggested questions for managers:

  • How healthy is this deal and why?

  • Where should I coach the rep?

Kota reviews the deal's communications and call scores, then gives you an assessment. In the video, it reported that the deal was moderately healthy but at risk on timing. It explained what looked healthy and what didn't, such as an unproven budget and a declining discovery call score, and it recommended a specific next step for the rep.

3. Prepare for a 1:1

Open Kota AI and ask about the rep. For example:

"I have a one-on-one coming up with Elena. Tell me the top two things she could change that would increase the likelihood of closing more deals."

Kota looks across the rep's roleplay calls, real calls and deals, and returns recommendations backed by evidence. In the video, it found one skill the rep had missed on four out of four calls, even though she'd been coached on it before.

4. Turn the coaching point into practice

Ask Kota to build practice for that skill, for example:

"Create a scorecard and a bite-sized roleplay bot for her to practise this."

To build them, Kota draws on what's already in your platform, your knowledge base and your connected sources. Then:

  1. Review what Kota created. New scorecards and bots start as drafts. Choose a folder, review them, then publish. A bot needs a folder and a scorecard before it can be published.

  2. Check the bot's settings. Open the bot and go to Advanced Settings. Bite-Sized Roleplay makes the bot focus on one specific goal:

    • The bot opens the call with the exact line you set, such as the objection the rep keeps struggling with.

    • It ends the call once the listed topics are covered.

  3. Share it. From the bot's … menu, choose Copy URL and send the link to your rep with a target score and a due date.

5. Get next Monday's review delivered automatically

Click Automations to build a report that runs without you logging in.

  1. Choose Time as the trigger.

  2. Set it to Weekly, then pick the Day of week, Time of day and Timezone. The video uses Monday at 9 a.m.

  3. Add a Send Message action and choose where it goes: Email, Slack or MS Teams.

  4. In Message, describe what the message should include. For example:

"Review all deals set to close in the next 30 days and highlight recommended next steps to maximize the chance of each deal closing."

You can also describe the automation in plain language and use Create with AI to build it for you.

Before you start

  • Deals needs a connected CRM: HubSpot, Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics 365.

  • Deals, Real calls and Automations need to be enabled for your organization. If any of them appears locked in your sidebar, contact your Hyperbound Customer Success Manager.

  • Admins can create automations for the whole team. Depending on your organization's settings, other users can create automations just for themselves.
