How To: Fix + Edit Existing Teams
Last updated: October 7, 2024
Managing teams in Hyperbound is crucial to staying organized, especially as your business evolves. Whether you need to rename a team, update members, or remove a team altogether, you can easily make changes to any existing team directly within your account.
Why Edit Teams?
Editing teams allows you to:
Keep your team structure up-to-date: As roles shift or new hires join, you'll need to regularly adjust teams.
Ensure accurate reporting: Correct team assignments are essential for accurate performance tracking.
Streamline training + management: With the right reps in the right teams, coaching and scorecarding becomes more efficient.
STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE
Step 1: Navigate to Manage & Invite Members
From your Hyperbound dashboard, navigate to the upper left-hand corner of the screen.
Click on your company name (ex: Hyperbound), and select "Manage & Invite Members."
This section is where you can manage your team structure and invite new members.
Step 2: Edit Teams
In the upper right-hand corner, click on "Edit Teams."
This will allow you to modify any of your existing teams.
Step 3: Select the Team You Want to Edit
A pop-up screen will display all your current teams.
Find the team you want to modify and click the pencil icon to the right of the team name.
Step 4: Make Your Changes
Once you've clicked the pencil icon, a new screen will pop up, allowing you to:
Edit the team name: Change the name to reflect its updated function (ex: from Inbound Reps to SDR Inbound).
Add a description: If helpful, you can add a brief description to clarify the purpose of the team (optional.)
From the same screen, you can also:
Move members to new teams: Reassign team members to reflect current roles or responsibilities.
Remove existing members: If someone no longer belongs to the team, simply remove them.
Delete the team entirely: If the team is no longer needed, you have the option to delete it.
Step 5: Save Your Changes
After making edits, save the changes to lock in your updates.
