Automations for sales managers and leaders

Last updated: July 29, 2026

Stay on top of coaching, team performance, and call trends without living in the call library. These templates give you standing alerts and digests so you coach the right moments and see patterns early.

Browse them under Automations → Templates → For Managers. For how Triggers, Conditions, and Actions work — and how to write them well — see Writing effective automations.

How to start from a template

  1. Go to Automations → Templates.

  2. Filter For Managers, or search by name.

  3. Click Use Template.

  4. In Automation Settings, name it and choose Who is this Automation for?  Everyone in the Workspace or Selected Team.

  5. Click Next, review Trigger / Condition / Action, set Slack or email recipients, Run Test, then Publish.

Here are some recipes to get started:

Manager Coaching Alert

Get a Slack nudge when a roleplay shows a real coaching moment — so you spend time where it matters.

Trigger

After AI roleplay ends

Condition (optional)

Did this roleplay show a coaching opportunity, such as a low score, missed objection, unclear discovery, or weak next step?

Action

Medium: Slack

Message: Send a concise coaching alert for the manager. Explain what happened, why coaching may be needed, and recommend one specific coaching action.

Audience: {{Owner.manager}}

Quick tip: Owner.Manager dynamically chooses the rep's manager and sends a notification to them, so only relevant calls are surfaced to the respective managers.

Weekly Performance Report

Get a standing weekly email on call volume, scores, and coaching themes without building the rollup yourself.

Trigger

Weekly Monday at 9:00

Action

Medium: Email

Message: Create a weekly team performance report. Summarize call volume, scores, coaching themes, low-score patterns, and recommended next steps.

Audience: yourself/ leadership

Tips: Scope to Selected Team so each manager only gets their pod. Tell Kota the format you want (sections, bullet limits, “lead with risks”). Change day/time to match your Friday closeout or Monday kickoff.

Call Insight Digest

Get a Slack digest of trends, objections, and coaching themes from team calls — patterns without listening to everything.

Trigger

Weekly Monday at 9:00

Action

Medium: Slack

Message: Create a digest of important call insights from the period. Highlight trends, customer themes, risks, objections, and useful coaching opportunities.

Audience: #sales-team

Tips: Ask for “Top 5 themes, 2 risks, 1 coaching opportunity.” Put it in a shared channel if the team should act together; use a personal DM if it’s manager-only signal.

Good to know

  • Manager Coaching Alert can be on AI roleplays or real call. Use the trigger appropriately.

  • Time-based templates (Weekly Performance ReportCall Insight Digest) are digests, not per-call pings.

  • Tests use past events and don’t notify anyone else. After you publish, automations only run going forward.
