How to Test Scorecards with Transcripts
Last updated: October 8, 2025
Testing your scorecards just got easier! You can now upload a transcript and test your scorecards instantly either at the criteria level or the entire scorecard level and receive AI-generated feedback exactly like you would after a real call.
Use this to quickly iterate on your scorecards, identify unclear questions, and fine-tune criteria before going live.
Why Use Scorecard Testing
Faster Iteration: No need to manually make calls validate your scorecard setup in minutes.
Higher Accuracy: Ensure your criteria produce consistent results across different transcripts.
Better Feedback: Check how AI interprets your criteria and adjust wording to improve precision.
Getting Started
Step 1: Upload a Transcript
Go to Scorecards → Select a Scorecard → Upload a transcript in the Test Scorecard Section
Step 2: Choose Test Scope
Entire Scorecard: Runs through all sections.
Specific criteria: Focuses only on one criteria
Tip: Criteria-level testing is great for refining wording or checking new criteria.
Step 3: Run the Test
Hyperbound will simulate how AI scores that transcript and generate the same type of feedback you’d get from a real call.
Reviewing Your Results
Once the test finishes, you’ll see:
Overall Score: The score if you tested the full scorecard.
Section Breakdown: Scores and pass/fail results per section.
Criteria Feedback: Each criterion gets a yes/no result, rationale, and suggested improvement.
Sample Workflow
Create your scorecard – build out all sections, criteria, and weights.
Publish it once you’re satisfied with the setup.
Before launching, we recommend testing your scorecard by uploading 2–4 transcripts that represent different call qualities:
1 great call: shows how top performers score.
1–2 average calls: helps gauge scoring consistency.
1 poor call: reveals if the scorecard fairly penalizes weak areas.
Running tests across this spectrum helps you understand how your scorecard performs in real scenarios and identify any sections or criteria that need refinement before rollout.
